Thomas P McCarthy Sc.D., CRC, LRC, is the CO-PI and serves as the TACE Region 1 Co-Director – Assumption. Dr. McCarthy will dedicate 100% of his time to this project. Dr. McCarthy has over 35 years of experience directing and teaching rehabilitation continuing education in New England. He is the Director of the Region 1 RCEP. He had been elected by his peers to be the Coordinator of the National Consortium of Regional Rehabilitation Continuing Education Programs. Prior to AC/RRCEP, he directed the USDOE/RSA grant funded New England Psychiatric Rehabilitation Training Program for 20 years where he was responsible for the overall management of 7 national peer- reviewed RSA Training Projects. Dr. McCarthy has had a broad range of field experience as a SVR Counselor, Supervisor, educator, and researcher. He has received state, regional, and national awards for his contributions to the rehabilitation field.
